Garnett 150 Highlights

Enjoy watching this amateur video of our first ever ball drop on New Year's Eve, kicking off Garnett's 150th!

The famous writings of Garnett born writer and poet, Edgar Lee Masters, was performed by the Chamber Players Community Theatre on August 21, 2011 as a "Garnett 150" special event, sponsored by the Garnett Friends of the Library.  The event was held at the Thelma Moore Community Theatre, 140 W. Fifth Avenue, with a large crowd in attendance.  (Click on the poster located at left for details!)

GARNETT, KS:  Special thanks to the FRIENDS OF THE PRAIRIE SPIRIT RAIL TRAIL for a fantastic vintage clothing fashion show during the Garnett 150 Easter Parade, and to the Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce for a fun-filled Easter Egg hunt on the beautiful Anderson County Courthouse Lawn.  It takes numerous community volunteers to pull off such events and to one and all - THANK YOU!
