Garnett Tourism Announces Adventure Tour Prize Winners

GARNETT, KS:  Garnett Tourism sponsored a month long “Passport to Adventure Tour”. The tour took participants to two or more tour destinations each Tuesday during the month of May.  Stops included the Valley View Elk Farm, Community Country Store, Kincaid High School Community Center, Preston’s Prairie Garden Center, Gerth Cabin & Wagon Bridge, St. John’s Catholic Church, Harris House, Country Fabrics and the Santa Fe Depot on the Prairie Spirit Rail Trail State Park.  

Participants were given passports and linked to maps and travel information via Garnett’s tourism website (www.experiencegarnettks.com).  Upon completion of the last night of the tour the “tourists” surrendered their passports in to a random prize drawing.  The following winners are announced:

$100 Chamber “Bucks” – Wilma Powls, Garnett
$50 Chamber “Bucks” – Carla King, Olathe
$25 Chamber “Bucks” – Cecilia Lamb, Garnett

There were 10 other random drawings for assorted gift baskets, gift bags and flowering plants. The gifts were all purchased local by Garnett Tourism and were awarded as follows:

    on each Tuesday, passports will be available at those stops.
