Welcome INT

Garnett Welcomes Water Enthusiasts to Lake Garnett
June 9-10, 2012
August 11, 2012 (State Championships)

The city of Garnett has welcomed the Kansas International Novice Tour (now Central States INT) to local lake facilities since 1998.  Created in 1993, The INT League began as the ‘Little League of Watersports”.  It is an organization that aspires to grow participation and consistency in towed water sports by actively promoting, organizing, and supporting, fun competitive events by welcoming all ages and ability levels.

There are approximately 27 states hosting over 250 INT League tournaments a year with nearly 15,000 participants.  Competitors at these tournaments are mostly novice or considered the “weekend warrior”.  However, the INT now offers professional categories for competitors as well and in 2010 teamed up with the WWA (World Wakeboard Association).   Participants can ski a slalom course, compete in novice to outlaw and pro level wakeboarding and wakeskate, and novice to advance kneeboarding.  There is also a wide ride (wide ski) category, veterans and more.  The INT League brings a special computer judging system, professional ski boats, ropes and equipment.  It is not necessary for competitors to have their own equipment to enter and new participants are always welcome.

There is no admission charged to spectators. Participation is encouraged. For more information please contact the Central States INT League at (913) 768-4526, email: kansasint@ymail.com.
